MAGSAC: marginalizing sample consensus
نویسندگان
چکیده
A method called σ-consensus is proposed to eliminate the need for a user-defined inlier-outlier threshold in RANSAC. Instead of estimating σ, it is marginalized over a range of noise scales using a Bayesian estimator, i.e. the optimized model is obtained as the weighted average using the posterior probabilities as weights. Applying σ-consensus, two methods are proposed: (i) a postprocessing step which always improved the model quality on a wide range of vision problems without noticeable deterioration in processing time, i.e. at most 1-2 milliseconds; and (ii) a locally optimized RANSAC, called LO-MAGSAC, which includes σ-consensus to the local optimization of LO-RANSAC. The method is superior to the state-of-the-art in terms of geometric accuracy on publicly available real world datasets for epipolar geometry (F and E), homography and affine transformation estimation.

Learning Bilingual Word Representations by Marginalizing Alignments
We present a probabilistic model that simultaneously learns alignments and distributed representations for bilingual data. By marginalizing over word alignments the model captures a larger semantic context than prior work relying on hard alignments. The advantage of this approach is demonstrated in a cross-lingual classification task, where we outperform the prior published state of the art.

متن کاملNon-Informative Dirichlet Score for learning Bayesian networks
Learning Bayesian networks is known to be highly sensitive to the chosen equivalent sample size (ESS) in the Bayesian Dirichlet equivalence uniform (BDeu). This sensitivity often engenders unstable or undesired results because the prior of BDeu does not represent ignorance of prior knowledge, but rather a user’s prior belief in the uniformity of the conditional distribution. This paper presents...
متن کاملRecognizing the Opportunities and Challenges of Marginalizing Women's Resilience Against Disasters, A Narrative Review Study
Introduction: Disasters are increasing all over the world and have affected people's lives. In many of these situations, gender inequalities limit the influence and control of women and girls in the decisions governing their lives. The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the opportunities and challenges related to the resilience of marginalized women against different types of d...
متن کاملCmb Anisotropy Constraints on Open and Flat-cdm Cosmogonies from Ucsb South Pole, Argo, Max, White Dish, and Suzie Data
We use combinations of ten small-scale cosmic microwave background anisotropy data sets from the UCSB South Pole 1994, ARGO, MAX 4 and 5, White Dish and SuZIE experiments to constrain cosmogonies. We account for known systematic uncertainties in the analysis. We consider open and spatially-at-cold dark matter cosmogonies, with nonrelativistic-mass density parameter 0 in the range 0.1{1, baryoni...
